Best in the West
Author(s):
Shirley A. Mcnichols
Teddy Best, actor, and his misbegotten troupe of performers are stranded in the last place that would appreciate a wild west show. That's probably because the town has worries of its own: plenty of men but no eligible women. Desperate bachelors trick Liza, a beautiful teacher, into moving to their community. Upon her arrival, the handsome Lieutenant Dashing arrives and begins to woo Liza himself. But complications arise when a straight-shootin' tomboy challenges Teddy to impersonate a trio of personas: a great lover, a U.S. Marshal and the evil Bad Bart Buckeye... all in one afternoon! As a lawman, Teddy pursues Liza. As a lover, he is betrothed to Crazy Kate Wilder. And, as a gunfighter, he must face Kate's jealous beau in a showdown. Add to this a spoof of the balcony scene in "Romeo and Juliet" and you have an evening's entertainment.
